Detail
During my nearly decade-long stay outside Macao, I experienced all kinds of cultural shocks from meeting foreigners from different cultures in various contexts, so I decided to bring cities and people closer together while exploring my place in the cities through this work. I used a photographic printing technique for a relatively realistic depiction and incorporated daily life fragments into the art. When we live in a group in a city, we will find that the people and things are an inalienable part of our life, yet we aren’t truly emotionally connected or have anything in common. The work highlights this kind of subtle relationship with cool tones.
