Having been painting birds and flowers, I am especially fond of using the images of old trees to express my feelings about the end of life. The inspiration for the work came from my experience of witnessing a group of ducks panicking at seeing a foreign object in a village one year in the past, which is reminiscent of people’s reactions in times of chaos.
